Step 3: Fold the top of the paper 1/4 down so it lines up with the center crease.
Step 6: Turn the paper over, with the folded edge on the left. Fold the top corner and align it with the left edge.
Step 8: Now fold the wings one by one. Make your fold line 1 inch above the bottom of the plane.
Step 9: Cut the tail of the strip you cut at the beginning. If you want to buy a wider tail, use a separate card.

I love airplanes. While you are reading this, you are probably also a little interested in airplanes. As any child can tell you, the best airplanes can be said to be of the “paper” variety. They are simple in construction, cheap in materials, and most importantly, a hell of a lot of fun. At least, that’s all I enjoyed building and flying as a kid.
Millions of paper airplane designs exist. Every child seems to know differently. But by far the best paper airplane ever flown was taught by my father, who learned from his father when he was a child in the 60’s. In fact, my grandfather invented the design (he was a designer, an aircraft mechanic -WWII and Korean, and has several patents). So I made this sound like my family’s secret paper airplane heirloom, but we’ve taught it to tons of people over the decades, so it can’t be called a secret. Now I teach you.

Take this triangle and fold it straight up, on the impact points of the last two folds. 3]
Fold the plane in half with the reference point as if the small triangle was facing outwards. A small triangle is now holding the plane together. [Fig. 1]
Fold the first wing. 2]. It should be at a slight angle from the fuselage shell (the part that forms the inlet port) and point towards the front of the aircraft. A good rule of thumb is to have about a quarter of an inch in the nose and 3/4 inch in the tail. I know this sounds confusing, just look at the fold in red in the picture. 3 And I hope it is clear what I want to say. 3].
Now you can test this tough guy out, or continue reading this guide to get some tips on how to achieve stable flight, spins, and spin maneuvers.
The Spear Paper Airplane
If this small plane is built right, it is naturally incredibly stable. To do this, make sure the wing is angled, creating a very small “Y” from the back, maybe 10 degrees above horizontal. You can see the ‘T’ shape, or even worse the ‘/| You don’t want the ” model. [Fig. 1]
Use a standard paper airplane handle to throw it (I don’t know a simpler explanation 🙂 [Fig. 2] And to her gentle, level, throw.
“Because it’s such a stable (and nose-heavy) aircraft, it requires quite a bit of maneuvering.”
