Because it is open.) Most of the time, two chairs are near the fire, with small tables for drinks and footstools ready. When the fire is over, you want to be in one of these seats, believe me. But the sofa is far, far away, and well, more than two people enjoy the fire at the same time.
Anyway. In search of inspiration, I found some great pictures that you may find helpful if you find yourself in a similar situation.
Obviously the room below is bigger, if there is enough space for two sofas in the middle of it. I love it – and I’m not always the biggest fan of Miles Redd. (Don’t get me started on the TV on fire thing. I’m against it, but I know that sometimes it’s the only option.)
Despite the lack of colors that attract the soul, I think that this house has a successful furniture arrangement. Proof that the unit can be a practical choice in a room with a corner fireplace.

The basement doesn’t look that big either. I’m confused about the lighting, but I think the room is beautiful.
