Eliza wants a birthday party. “All princesses” so I thought it would be fun to make paper crowns for boys and girls.

Silhouette America sent me the Silhouette Portrait (thanks Silhouette America!) and all opinions are my own. I want to use it immediately! Eliza’s birthday is just a few days away, so I thought I’d start with something simple. Because I know there will be a learning curve. So I checked out the Silhouette Design Store and found a cute 3D adjustable crown. and a 3D adjustable heart-shaped crown (the birthday girl’s choice).

A few times I practiced making simple crowns and was going to write. And then it hit me: Wait, I can come up with the names of the party guests too! amazing!

Well, I open up Silhouette Studio on my computer and go to File…Silhouette Design Store and buy two types of crowns. They will be downloaded to your library. You can then double-click it to add it to your workspace.

At first, your cutting mat will be too sticky to the paper. I cannot stress this enough. At first it was very sticky. And you have to break it. You can touch a clean T-shirt. You can go down to remove the glue stain. I also saw that there is a Light Tack cutting mat available, which I think I will try out for future paper projects.

I added the title using the Trajan Pro Bold font, which was similar to the Frozen font.

Watch? Just like that, you can now attach the crown to the front and back using adjustable slots on the sides to fit the wearer’s head.

Peeling small pieces These on hand cutting mats are boring. Do yourself a favor and buy a Silhouette Scraper. This is a must-have accessory!
