Small Guest Bedroom Ideas Pinterest – It’s Labor Day weekend and my mind is starting to turn to fresh, cozy decor, starting with this guest bedroom on the first floor of our coastal Maine home. This has been my favorite room in the house to decorate and I’m excited to share some fun finds with you here today!
A few days ago, I was walking around the attic working on the other two bedrooms of friends who live in the attic of the house. Also check out the small loft bedroom.

When I found a trunk full of old quilts and blankets that my mother had collected over the years. Such a treasure trove of goodies! One of them was this white quilt with blue leaves and embellishments. I washed the moth smell and hung it on the clothes line for days!

I found these blue and gold curtains that are two panels and a tub, a thrifty buy for $15! I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I really liked the pattern with my two favorite colors! I think they suit this room perfectly and add a nice warm and cozy feel to our blue guest bedroom. I attached them to the ends of the rods because I love the light that comes into this room and I didn’t want to darken it by covering these windows that overlook our yard.
A basket of tennis rackets is my favorite treasure of all. They all belonged to my dad, who played until he was 86!
My mother also made a woven rug for the bedside and throughout the house.
Another vintage blanket I found in a trunk in the attic is this white throw that I added to the foot of the bed.

This guest bedroom is feeling a little crowded right now and ready for some cooler temperatures.
