When this was my room when I was younger, we thought there was drywall in the room, but it turned out to be paper taped years and years ago with cheese behind it.

When my mother sold the house, the couple who bought it took down the wallpaper and painted the walls.

The closet was added later to the room and the walls are plasterboard (with stencils now in the room renovation).

The butterfly kits come with adhesive dots that you peel off and stick to the back of the butterfly and then the butterfly sticks to anything.

The key was to map the “flight path” from one corner of the glass to the other corner of the glass.

The glue dots are really strong and hold the butterflies with no problem and the gold frost matches the gold of the butterflies and glows when the sun holds them together with the lights at night.

When in doubt, stick to basic geometric shapes! In this example, I chose a square shape and painted colored lines in the shape of a maze. I started with a square in the center and kept overlapping brushes of different colors as I made the square larger towards the edges of the canvas.

You can do the same with any shape you like! Circles, octagons, triangles, stars – the possibilities are endless!

I like to experiment with wavy abstract lines. In my Rainbow Riviera series, I painted fluid, multicolored organic lines between two blocks of color on canvas. You can go even further by filling your canvas with flowing lines in all the colors of the rainbow.
