Diwali is a festival of light. My husband is in charge of the exterior lighting and he thinks it’s so cool that it catches everyone’s eye. The photos don’t justify the effort, but the effect of the whole light is amazing.

He hired a professional installer to install the roof lights, which cost about $ 500. I can make the rest of the fire myself because I can get in safely using the standard staircase. Programmable LED lights are used in the driveway and around the light poles. He decided to use LED netting on trees, poles and large flower pots. Conventional LEDs are used to create a pyramid around light poles.

Kids love to help with Diwali decorations by making it a family project. The toddler is busy taking care of the ropes for the ropes as the middle class student expresses his ideas and passes the device up the stairs to his father.

In Indian tradition, the main gate has a special meaning. Many Indian customs involve decorating and performing ceremonies at the entrance of a house or Pooja room. The same applies to Diwali decorations.

On my last visit to India. These are some of the common things I bring back from India every time I visit. Diya refers to the ground lamp used in the Indian subcontinent. Today, Diya Decorations are available at Indian grocery stores in almost every major city in the United States. If you do not have time to go to your local store, you can also buy it on Amazon.

After much research, I decided to use the artificial flowers I found on Amazon. I like the quality, mood and appearance of the whole flower. I also use fresh flowers from my local garden and shop. The ramp was purchased from Pier1 Imports.

Diwali Decoration Ideas To Jazz-up Your Home

There are options to create rangoli using both colors and flowers. Since I had a baby, powder coating did not seem like a good idea. So I came up with a simple design that can be done in 10 to 15 minutes using a combination of natural and artificial flowers.

Did you see the url in front of Rangoli? Urli, a brass plate holding floating candles and flowers, adds a different dimension to festive or ethnic decorations. Create a dynamic atmosphere with floating candles and flowers that bring life to static decor.

Next is the entrance to the house, which gives visitors the first view inside the house. It creates an initial impression and anticipation of something else to come. It should express the festive feeling of your home while also creating a desire to get into the festive spirit. The living room decoration shown here uses the Ganesh statue in the center of the waiter, medals, beads and hump. Surrounded by ornaments with brass artifacts and tea candle holders.

I have used the existing bracelets as cheap tea light candle holders and are a great way to add Indian charm to your decor. I have a huge collection of bracelets so I borrowed a few from here to decorate my tea bulbs.

Diwali Decoration Ideas From My Mother-in-law

Ganesh is a gift to us from my brother-in-law. Here brass plates are used as urlis. No need to buy Urlis or use brass plates to add Urlis as a decoration. You can achieve the same effect by using a shallow bowl with a flat top.

In the photo above, kundan rangolis is used as a floor decoration. Alternatively, you can also use the Rangoli design as shown below. In my case, it only took a few hours for my baby to run.

By adding small decorations to different places in your home, you can change the overall look and feel of your home and make it more festive. For example, I decorated the coffee table in my living room with candles and flowers.

It’s easy to see that I’m a big fan of Pier1 Imports. Most of the items in this decor are purchased from the store. From the waiters to the trays and candles, these are all imported products from Pier One that I have been collecting for a long time. I always go through the house trying different combinations to create new decorations.

7 Ideas For Diwali Decoration

I have a good collection of runners and discs. They are my weakness. So every time I see a good design, I tend to buy it for future use. The tray offers a limited amount of space and an intersection of attractions that allow you to focus on your limited space. Runners add different textures to a place, bring color contrasts and reinforce other decorative elements. I also used kundan rangolis as a fill between spaces to add an ethnic touch.

Another example is the fireplace decoration, which is usually the centerpiece of the living room in American homes. Placing some artifacts on the fireplace and in the courtyard directly in front of it can create an ethnic decor. Great minority.

Here a combination of three independent elements is used to create diversity with the general purpose of expressing the diversity of Indians. I used two elephant heads, beautifully decorated with eyes, along with bronze relics. I fell in love with the cute Nettipattam elephant head during my visit to Kerala and could not resist adding it to my collection. I like to add authenticity to wherever I use it.

Diwali Decoration Ideas For Living Room: Pooja Room & More

Finally, the most important place to decorate your home for Diwali is the pooja room and temple. Laxmi pooja is the most important element of the whole Diwali celebration, performed in the pooja room of the temple. Due to the nature of my husband’s work, our family moves every few years. So I wanted to have a separate Pooja room, but now I have to share it with the office.

So I use handmade wooden temples with Rajasthani artwork that match the background. This background uses tulle fabric decorated with peacock feathers, pearls, bandhanwar and pearls. The ends of the tulle fabric are tied using a brass ivory stitch. This setting extends the puja angle.

The door of the pooja room I share with my home office is also decorated with bandhanwar and flowers. Try adding small details like satiya sticker and maha-Laxmi footprint sticker. The swastika is associated with Ganesha and the Maha-Laxmi footprint is associated with the goddess of wealth and prosperity. These small details greatly enhance the decorative effect.
