Wall Art Dining Room Contemporary – I don’t always follow design trends, but one thing I do love is vintage tree wall art. Some designers I love have used this popular Stoffer Home tree top print and I love the cozy vintage look. But the price tag… not so much I was able to find digital prints of these vintage tree etchings on Etsy for just a few dollars each. I then had them printed and framed, all for less than the cost of a designer print. If you want to recreate this designer look on a budget, read on for all the details!
Print shops often do not credit the artist when selling vintage artwork that has entered the public domain. I did a little digging and was able to find the artist – Ernest Haskell The four etchings are titled:

Haskell created these etchings between 1900-1925 which means they have entered the public domain, and you can actually download them for free using the link above. I decided to buy digital prints from Etsy because they have digital color grades to match each other and sizes for easy printing.

Here’s a look at our dining room I renovated this room a few years ago for the One Room Challenge, and I’m a big fan of the cream boards and batten. (The color is Classic Gray by Benjamin Moore.) However, I feel the dining room looks a bit shabby and could use more character.
After I decided on the vintage tree wall art, I created a mood board using Canva to help visualize the space. I also ordered a plaid rug since I’ve been loving it since it launched and will share it in a future blog post.
Here are the low designer looks! My vintage tree wall art is printed and framed by Frame It Easy (details listed below). A total of four custom prints/frames for digital art for less than the price of one Stoffer Home Tree Top Print! The artwork really spiced up our dining room and now I can’t imagine the space without it Here are the frame details to keep in mind if you want to recreate this look:

On trend, we see wide area rugs of various styles under the dining table. The rule of thumb is to size the rug so that it is large enough for each chair to fall back on comfortably.
Another modern dining room trend is the bold statement chandelier – it can be the biggest tone setter in the entire room. Modern and sleek, traditional, mid-century retro, beach chic, wicker or woven…there are as many styles of chandeliers as there are personalities. Paired with classic and modern tables and chairs, any of those styles can complete a modern dining room.
As an alternative to large statement chandeliers, another lighting trend in the dining room is to have several pendant lights, or rows, centered over the dining table that can vary in style from industrial to modern farmhouse.
Unfinished natural wood tables are trending and can always be popular! Alternatively, a light, round, white dining table is the perfect base for designing a modern dining room!
