Zombie Design Ideas – I know many of you are looking forward to my daughter’s dress reveal day and I love this year’s dress. This DIY zombie makeup is not for the faint of heart who don’t like to see blood dripping and wounds.

My daughter really likes scary movies and scary characters which you can see in her other costumes we’ve made, like Day of the Dead, Queen of Hearts costumes, Apocalypse costumes, and Maleficent, just to name a few. less

I’m sure it also has to do with the fact that he has a brother four years older than her. She gets reactions from her friends who cheer her on when we do her makeup and I guess that’s totally what she’s looking for.

He also loves soccer, so maybe he’s a soccer zombie. Apparently, this is nothing new either as Google has been plagued with images of children in zombie football uniforms.

The truth is, I’m a fan of “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead.” I never thought I’d like a show about zombies, but I really like it and so does my husband. However, our daughter has not seen this show yet. He plans it!

So here we go, let me explain how we got this year’s costume. We really loved it and laughed a lot. My little actress had so much fun!

Obviously, this masquerade is all about zombie makeup. She and I watched countless YouTube videos so we could make our own. Let me show you how to apply zombie makeup…

(Also, you can use zombie contact lenses, but I would consult an eye care professional for recommendations. I don’t feel like I can advise you on which products to use.)

From all these items, we will all get Halloween costumes this year when we go as a zombie family. That’s enough makeup and blood for the four of us, which in turn makes it a very affordable costume line for our annual neighborhood Halloween party.

We start with layers of tissue and liquid latex for his wounds. This is the most important part of the makeup and it’s really easy to do.

Fold the tissue (or you can use thin toilet paper) to fit the size of your face and desired wound:

Brush some liquid latex onto your face and place the tissue in the wet latex. Then, pour some more liquid latex over it. If you’ve ever done decoupage, you know the process. These are more or less steps.

We decided to have one wound on the cheek and the other on the neck. After seeing the finished pictures, he said he wanted a piece on his own for Halloween night.

This is the step where he is a little scared because you have to cut/cut the wound to make it look open. In the end, I mainly used my hands because I was afraid of hurting her, which is definitely a possibility. So be careful or just open it.

Then I used the white face paint cream, but I just put it on with a makeup sponge. In previous years I have used a thick, heavy coat of white which I certainly did not do this year. You can see in the photo below that I started around the wound and worked my way up.

Then he covered his whole face. Creating lighter and uneven skin tone in some areas than others.

Below you can see the uneven texture and that I left the eye area clean so I could apply darker makeup to that area.

Then I took black eye shadow and painted the dark areas around her eyes to create dark sockets, the side of her nose, high cheekbones on her jaw and cheeks, her temples And side to side. You can darken the lids and under-eye area with a bit more black and purple shadows, but I think it was enough in our case.

Then I used scar colors around his wounds. Old wounds have all kinds of colors. Blue, green, brown, red and grey.

Take a thick artist or makeup brush and paint around the scars to blend with the skin color.

I used an artist’s brush to put a lot of dark blood inside the wounds to make them look like open, bleeding flesh wounds.

Here you can also see the blood gel I put in with the brush that came with it. Without this gel, it wouldn’t look real.

Finally, I used a little more white for some areas and in other areas I bled a little with a stippling sponge and fake blood.

Now all you have to do is walk around in the dirt in your costume and you’re done 😉 This is the part my daughter was really good at.

He was very fond of taking pictures. As always, this is his best part. Do you remember the photos from last year?

Same picture without white eyes. He can’t handle contact lenses (and I’m glad), but I wanted to see what zombie eyes would look like. So I helped with some photo editing. As I said, if you are considering wearing contact lenses like my husband wears for Halloween, ask an eye specialist for recommendations. After reading this article here, I am very afraid of possible mistakes.

We decided to paint white makeup on her hands and also paint the dark areas between her fingers. You can go a step further if you make your nails very dirty, but she didn’t want to do that.

The soccer ball in the photos was found on the field during soccer practice and my daughter believes it is a zombie soccer ball. Well, whatever that means.

She loved it and asked me to make a Halloween photo book of all her costumes over the years. I asked my son if he wanted something like that and if we could take pictures and he said “no thanks mom, I’m fine.” These two are as different as they come. Well, she is my little passenger and foodie and she is my actress.

Her other outfits from years past were definitely more my style, but whatever you like. He has a mind of his own. Find them all below. It’s finally Halloween time and that means I can bring to life a simple zombie face paint design idea that came to mind recently. First I use a pig color and a round brush to outline parts of my design: the brain, the mouth area and the tears. I know many artists use white for this.

But I recommend using a light skin tone for this purpose! It is very easy to remove from the skin and blends well with the colors we will apply on top later.

The next step is very easy! Now we just have to fill in the areas we’ve outlined with color! I use a semi-circular yellow sponge for the teal skin and a small brush with bubblegum pink for the nape and broken areas.

To make the face more dimensional and less flat we need to add shadows. Zombies have very deep shadows on their faces. Because, you know, they’re dead and that means the gravity of their bones is falling on the skin.
